How to Remove Pet Hair from Clothes

Pets are those animals who give us company, entertainment and even emotional support. Many people consider them family members and often establish emotional bonds with these delicate creatures. There are millions of pet lovers around the world. According to the current statistics of the American Pet Products Association (APPA), around 70% of households in the USA own a pet. At the same time, in the UK it was reported in 2022 that more than 50% of households have a pet of their own. Not only in the UK or USA pets are one of the most beloved animals around the globe. However, for every pet lover, it is a common struggle to remove pet hair from their clothes and other household garments. Pet hair is usually clingy and sometimes stubborn enough to get rid of. Shake  your clothes

To remove pet hair from your clothes, Hamlet Laundry suggests, first of all shake your clothes. Though pet hairs are clingy, not all of them are strong enough to withstand shaking or vibrating. So, shake your clothes in an open space that will help you to get rid of most of the pet hair.

Use a Lint Roller

A lint roller is a convenient tool to remove lint, dust and grain-like dirt from clothes or adhesive surfaces. To remove pet hair from clothes use a lint roller. In terms of that, simply roll over the surface of your clothes and fabrics. The roller itself will pick up the lint, dander and also fur automatically. There are various types of lint rollers available in the market, choose an eco-friendly one that is designed to work on clothes and fabrics.

Use a sponge or Cloth

Using a sponge and clothes does a great help to remove pet hair from clothes. Take a sponge, soaked it in water and wring out any excess then run it gently over the cloth or fabric. The same goes for using cloth as well. Take a cloth, soaked in water then run it over the affected area. The water attracts the hair or fur of your pet, thus clearing them from the surface of your garments.

Use a Cloth steamer

A cloth steamer is a device that produces steam from water through heating. Basically, it helps the cloth retain its shape by reducing the wrinkle on it. In terms of removing pet hair from cloth, it can also contribute a great input. The moisture that is generated from the steam is highly effective to reduce fur and pet hair. So, use a cloth steamer to get rid of pet hair from your clothes.

Use a Dryer Sheet

A dryer sheet is a thin fabric softening sheet that reduces static cling from clothes. Since fur or pet hair sticks to your clothes or fabrics due to static electricity, this sheet reduces that property from the cloth and thus weakens the attraction between the pet hair and your garments. So, you can use a dryer sheet over the surface of your fabric to remove the pet hair from it.

Use a Rubber Glove

Rubber Glove is also an effective tool to remove fur or pet hair from your clothes. When you use a rubber glove and sweep it over the surface of your clothes it pulls away the furs. At the same time sweeping creates friction which generates static electricity that helps to absorb and attracts more pet hair from your garments.

Pet Hair Remover

There are some products available in the market designed to remove furs and pet hair from clothes and fabrics called pet hair remover. These are mainly spraying products which reduce static electricity from the clothes and thus remove pet hairs. Therefore, using a pet hair remover can be a good option when you want to remove pet hair quickly from your clothes.

Washing Machine

If your clothes hold a lot of pet hair on them, then you can opt for a washing machine. Before washing make sure you have chosen the right detergent for your clothes and then mix some vinegar on it. Vinegar is an effective chemical that helps to remove pet hair from your clothes. Now rinse your cloth multiple times and look how clean they are!
